The MLSE Global Partnerships Case Competition is the premier sponsorship marketing challenge for students eager to gain exposure to the sports business industry.
Each year, hundreds of students from across the country are tasked with showcasing their creativity, strategic thinking, marketing expertise, and sales skills by developing a custom partnership proposal between an MLSE sports property and a prospective corporate partner.
Students who advance past the digital first round in November will be invited to a final, in-person competition at MLSE HQ in early 2026. This day-long event includes behind-the-scenes access to MLSE HQ and Scotiabank Arena, exclusive premium prize giveaways, and networking opportunities with MLSE executives.
The winning team, along with standout students, will be selected for interviews for a coveted, paid Summer Associate internship in MLSE's Global Partnerships department, starting in May 2026.
What is the Summer Associate, Global Partnerships Internship Program?
The Summer Associate, Global Partnerships Internship Program offers a unique opportunity for students to explore the world of sponsorship marketing.
Over four months, Summer Associates will gain hands-on experience across key verticals within MLSE's Global Partnerships department, including Partnership Marketing, Media Integrations, Business Planning & Insights, Partnership Development, Revenue Strategy, Commercial Strategy, and more.
This rotational program is the first of its kind, allowing students to gain a deeper understanding of MLSE's partnerships business, explore different areas of interest, and develop their skills.

Students across Canada enrolled in a University or College
You’ll develop a custom partnership proposal between an MLSE sports property & prospective corporate partner — showcasing creativity, strategic thinking, marketing expertise and sales skills.
No fee to participate.
Team captains will receive an email with access to the virtual kick off event to be shared with the remainder of their team.
You’ll be invited to the final round at MLSE located at the Scotiabank Arena, meet MLSE executives, present live, and take part in a day long event with other finalist teams.
